On Tuesday, the County Commission voted unanimously to fund the Hudson Bayou Restoration.
A big thank you to all those who made the long drive down to Venice on Tuesday morning. When it came time for everyone to stand, it was most of the audience. Along with the 5 speakers, there must have been 25 or 30 of us there which I’m sure made a big impression on the commissioners.
The project aims to remove 80,500 cubic yards of sediment, ease bank erosion, and use native vegetation to prevent future sediment buildup.
