City Contractors Making Progress on Storm Debris

The city shared some statistics from their contractors’ efforts to clean us up after the recent storms.  As of November 10th, roughly 320,000 tons of debris had been picked up in the City of Sarasota through 6,760 truck loads in the prior 27 days of clean up.

Work continues, as we saw some streets in the neighborhood get serviced this week (including starting on Osprey Ave.).  The contractors are getting ready to make a second pass through the city, which is expected to take until mid-December.  Then it will fall upon the City’s staff to finish up any remaining debris.
